I was able to donate my husband`s organs. He passed away 10 days ago. He was only 65 years old.
My husband had high blood pressure. Once he became very ill and became unconscious. We quickly admitted him to the hospital. He needed immediate surgery. Before he was taken for surgery, doctors informed us that, one of his blood vessels has burst and his life is in danger.
Though I was aware that organs can be donated after road traffic accidents, I was not aware that my husbands organs can be donated. But when the doctors requested, we gave our full consent to donate whichever the organs and tissues that can save another person’s life.
The thought that some others are living because of my husband gives us much satisfaction.
